Harry Kits has a diverse work experience, with their most recent position as the Sr. Director of Advocacy and Government Engagement at World Vision Canada. In this role, they were responsible for managing the organization's engagement with the Government of Canada and advocating for child well-being. Prior to this, they served as the Sr. Advisor of Corporate Engagement at World Vision Canada, where they coordinated various aspects of the organization's connections with corporations and advanced strategies for addressing the impact of Canadian mining companies on child well-being. Additionally, Harry served as the Chair of the Board of Governors at The King's University from 2018-2021. Harry has also held positions at World Vision Canada as a Sr. Policy Advisor and Acting Senior Policy Team Leader, as well as serving as the Executive Director of Citizens for Public Justice. In 2008, they founded their own consulting company, Harry Kits and Associates.

Harry Kits earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Theory and Philosophy from Dordt University, where they studied from 1977 to 1982. Harry later pursued further education at the Institute for Christian Studies, obtaining a Master of Philosophy in Political Theory from 1983 to 1988.
