Hunor Gyorgy

Vice President Of Research at WorldQuant

Hunor Gyorgy began their work experience in 2012 as a PhD student at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Hunor remained in this role until February 2018. In 2014, they worked as a Guest Researcher at TU Delft from February to June. In 2017, they joined WorldQuant as a Quantitative Researcher, and later became a Senior Quantitative Researcher from July 2019 to December 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Research at WorldQuant starting from January 2021.

Hunor Gyorgy's education history begins in 2007 when they enrolled at Budapest University of Technology and Economics and obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Physics in 2010. Hunor then continued their studies at the same institution and completed their Master's Degree in Physics, specializing in Nuclear Techniques, from 2010 to 2012. Following this, Hunor pursued further academic achievements by attending Budapest University of Technology and Economics once again, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Nuclear Physics from 2012 to 2018. In addition to their scientific education, Hunor also engaged in postgraduate specialist training in Economic Sciences at Corvinus University of Budapest from 2015 to 2017.
