Marieelena Cordisco

MarieElena Cordisco has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. MarieElena has held various roles throughout their career, starting in 1992 as a Nurse Educator at Nyack Hospital. MarieElena then worked as a Research Nurse Clinician specializing in Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant at New York Presbyterian Hospital. In 2005, they became a Multispecialist RN at Danbury Hospital. In 2008, they transitioned to Leawood Family Care as a Nurse Practitioner and worked there until 2010. MarieElena then joined Western Connecticut Health Network in 2011 as a Nurse Practitioner until 2014. Cordisco then became the Director of Clinical Trials at Western Connecticut Health Network, overseeing all aspects of Phase I-IV clinical trials. In 2020, they joined Nuvance Health as the Associate Vice President of Clinical Trials until 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director Therapeutic Strategy Lead Metabolic at Worldwide Clinical Trials, providing scientific and strategic design input for Phase I-IV trials in metabolic disease.

MarieElena Cordisco has a diverse education history. MarieElena obtained their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University at Buffalo from 1982 to 1986. MarieElena then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) in Professorial Nursing from Teachers College, Columbia University from 1992 to 1994. MarieElena advanced their career by completing a Post Master Certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner from Stony Brook University from 2003 to 2006. Recently, they earned a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Health from the University of Vermont from 2016 to 2018. In addition to their degrees, MarieElena also holds certifications including CCRC from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals obtained in 2016 and NP-C from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners obtained in 2006.
