Richard Goodman has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Richard has recently worked as the Senior Community Liaison for the State of Alaska at the Wounded Warrior Project, where they focused on building a comprehensive community outreach plan and establishing a presence for the organization in Alaska. Prior to this, they worked as a Fishing Guide and Hunting Guide at the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

In terms of their military experience, Richard served in the United States Air Force for several years. Richard held positions such as Commander of the 5th Mission Support Group, Chief Scientist at the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Laboratory Director of the Air Force's nuclear materials forensics laboratory, Deputy Commander of the 466th Air Expeditionary Group, and Deputy Commander of the 509th Mission Support Group. Richard also served as an International Weapons Inspector for the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

Lastly, Richard has experience in the private sector, having worked as the Commander of the Force Support Squadron at the National Reconnaissance Office, where they oversaw personnel policies, training, and workforce development.

Richard Goodman has a diverse education history. Richard began their academic journey in 1989 at the Virginia Military Institute, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics in 1993. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from the University of North Dakota from 1996 to 1999.

In 2005, Richard furthered their education by attending the National Intelligence University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Military Strategic Intelligence in 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Richard has also obtained various certifications. Richard acquired their Emergency Medical Technician certification from the State of Alaska in April 2021. Subsequently, in June 2021, Richard obtained certifications in Wilderness/Remote Location First Aid from SOLO Wilderness Medical School and as an Emergency Medical Technician, Critical Care from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. In July 2021, they earned their Captain's License from the U.S. Coast Guard. Most recently, in January 2022, Richard obtained the Certified CrossFit Trainer (CCFT) certification from CrossFit and the Hunting Guide, Fishing Guide, Hunting And Fishing Guide (License) from the State of Alaska in February 2022.
