Ming Chen

Ming Chen has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. In 2019, they joined Woven by Toyota as a Software Engineer, currently working on a project called Arene Vertex. They also worked on the Data Platform from October 2020 to 2022. Before joining Toyota, Chen worked at HERE Technologies as a Software Engineer from April 2016 to January 2019. Their responsibilities included designing and implementing a framework for map matching and developing processes for autonomous driving. They used Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and AWS during their time at HERE Technologies.

Prior to HERE Technologies, Chen worked as a Game Developer Intern at Cognitive ToyBox in 2015. They built iOS apps and games using Xcode, Swift, and SpriteKit. They also designed new features, fixed bugs, and maintained existing apps. Chen also interned at Goldman Sachs during the summer of 2015 as a Technology Analyst. They built a mock order entry system and used AngularJS, Node.js, and Jasmine for the front-end.

In addition to their internships, Chen gained research experience at the Illinois Institute of Technology. They worked as a Research Assistant in the MMAE Department from September to December 2014, where they designed and built equipment for material magnetization and analyzed current-voltage data. They also worked as a Research Assistant in the ECE Department during the same period, managing a team to implement wind turbine models and solve missing or hidden parts in power system models.

Chen's work experience also includes an internship as a Social Media Intern at TravelersToday, Inc. in 2014. They conducted research on popular topics and community development methodologies.

Ming Chen began their education at North China Electric Power University (Beijing) in 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. After completing their studies there in 2013, they transferred to the Illinois Institute of Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. Ming Chen graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Ming Chen also obtained several certifications. Ming completed the Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera in September 2021, followed by the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in July 2021. Ming Chen then pursued further education, specializing in Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine and Blockchain, both from Coursera. Ming obtained these certifications in July 2022 and April 2022, respectively. Most recently, Ming Chen completed the AlgoExpert Completion certification from AlgoExpert in July 2023.
