Nicholas Tankard

Nicholas Tankard has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and robotics. Nicholas is currently working as a Software Engineer at Woven by Toyota, focusing on developing Software Defined Vehicles. Prior to this, they worked at Rapyuta Robotics as an Embedded Software Engineer, where they primarily worked on firmware for various products. Nicholas also worked on a Linux-based ROS application. Before that, Nicholas worked at Scoville Co., Ltd. as a Robotics Engineer and Team Lead, leading the company's research and development team in developing cutting-edge technologies in the fields of robotics and AI. Nicholas also served as a Hardware and Embedded Systems Engineer, responsible for planning and executing the company's hardware projects. Nicholas previously worked at Boeing, where they contributed to the development of next-generation technologies as a Software Engineer for Phantom Works International and the Wedgetail team. Nicholas also worked at Procept as an Embedded Software Engineer, focusing on firmware for ARM-based platforms and algorithm design. Nicholas started their career at the Defence Science and Technology Group as an Embedded Software Engineer, gaining valuable experience in a key project. Nicholas also worked as an Electronic Technician at Procept before pursuing their career in software engineering.

Nicholas Tankard attended Swinburne University of Technology from 2010 to 2015. During their tenure, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (Robotics and Mechatronics) (Honours)/ Science (Software Engineering) degree. Their studies focused on the fields of Mechatronics, Robotics, and Computer Science.
