Brandon Durette

Brandon DuRette has accumulated a wealth of experience in various roles within the software development field over the years. Brandon started their career as a Software Engineer at IBM in 1999 before moving on to positions at Agillion, Tonic Software, and Sheer Genius Software as a Software Developer. DuRette joined ioLogics in 2003 as a Software Engineer, where they designed and implemented algorithms for efficient document comparison. In 2004, they joined Enthought as a Software Developer, working on scientific applications and contributing to the design of the Chaco 2 plotting toolkit. From 2005 to 2011, DuRette served as Chief Architect at SmartBear Software, overseeing the CodeCollaborator product group and leading the development of the award-winning code review tool. Brandon then joined Appconomy in 2011 as a Senior Software Developer, where they developed mobile applications and studied conversational Mandarin Chinese. Following this, DuRette co-founded JustGolf in 2012, managing offshore teams and developing iPhone apps. In 2013, they joined WP Engine as Vice President of Engineering, establishing and growing the Atlas product line for headless WordPress. Brandon held various other roles at WP Engine, including Chief Architect and Technical Architect. Throughout their career, DuRette has consistently demonstrated their expertise in software development, product management, and team leadership.

Brandon DuRette attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained an S.B. degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Additionally, they obtained the Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect certification from Google in April 2019.
