Carlos Rivas

Carlos Rivas is currently the IT Head North America - CIO at Yara North America. Carlos previously worked as the IT Head LATAM Exc Brazil - CIO at Yara International, where they were responsible for developing and implementing IT strategies for Yara's Latin America countries. Before that, Carlos served as the International BPO Director at IQ Outsourcing and Accredus Business Services. Carlos also worked as the Andean IT Manager - Andean CIO at Kellogg Company, where they were accountable for IT operations in the Andean region and participated in business guidance decisions. Carlos's experience also includes roles as a LATAM Business and Process Consultant at Nokia Siemens Networks, a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, a Service Delivery Manager and Project Manager at Schlumberger, a Project Manager at Atos Origin, and a Developer Chief at Sonda. Carlos holds certifications in PMP, ITIL, eTOM, and TOGAF.

Carlos Rivas, PMP, ITIL, eTOM, TOGAF, has a diverse education history with a focus on business administration, leadership development, and various IT disciplines. Carlos obtained a Candidate to Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from EUDE Business School in 2016 and completed a Leadership Development program at Aden Business School in 2014. In terms of IT certifications, Carlos received the ITIL V3 certification from World Training Colombia in 2009 and the eTOM Process Framework certification from TMForum Training Seminar in 2007. Carlos also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, obtained in 2005. Carlos pursued their undergraduate studies at Universidad Central, earning a Systems Engineer degree from 1992 to 1999, with a focus on IT management, database design, and systems architecture. Additionally, they have obtained the TOGAF 9 Foundation certification from EXIN in 2012 and the Business Process Framework (eTOM) Level 2 certification from TM Forum in 2009.
