Julie Auster

Chief Human Resources Officer at Yeshiva University

Julie Auster is the Chief Human Resources Officer of Yeshiva University. In her role as CHRO, she provides strategic leadership in the planning and implementation of integrated human resources programs and policies including University Benefits, Employee/Labor Relations, Compensation, Recruitment, Diversity and Affirmative Action, and Training and Development. She also oversees Title IX compliance activities. These programs support all officers, faculty, and staff of YU, and enhance YU’s organizational performance and capability.

Auster began her career at the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association. She came to YU from Sarah Lawrence College, where she served as Vice President for Human Resource Services and Legal Affairs. Auster had a long and distinguished tenure at Sarah Lawrence, in positions that oversaw areas such as Human Resources, Risk, Budget and Legal Affairs. Auster received her BA from Mount Holyoke College and JD from Pace University, and is a member of the New York Bar Association. She is also Vice-Chair for the Board of Directors of the Academic Federal Credit Union and on the Board of Trustees of the Graham School Foundation
