Paal K. Ødegaard

Paal K. Ødegaard has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Paal K. is currently the Head of Crewing - Operations at Yinson, where they have global responsibility for the Crewing function. Prior to this, they owned their own consultancy firm, P.K. Consulting AS, providing services in General Management, Organizational Development, Project Management, and HR. Paal K. has also held positions as the Chief HR Officer at Aker Energy AS and the HR & Crewing Manager at Yinson Production. Earlier in their career, Paal worked as an HR and FM Manager at Aker Solutions Brunei, a Partner at Capus AS, an HR Manager at Aker Solutions, and the Director of Sales at A.G Johnsen. Paal K. began their professional journey as a Platoon Commander and Admin Officer in the Norwegian Army. Paal has a strong background in HR, organizational development, and project management, with experience in international settings and industries such as oil and gas, recruitment, and consultancy.

Paal K. Ødegaard has a diverse education history. In 1995, they attended the Cavalry Officers School, where they obtained the title of Qualified Sergeant in Military and Strategic Leadership. From 1997 to 1999, they pursued Military Studies at the Norwegian Royal Military Academy, specializing in Professional Military Leadership and Tactics. In 2001, they attended the Norwegian Business School, where they completed their Bachelor of Management with a focus on Project Management. In 2008, they began their Master's degree in Business Development at the Norwegian Business School, completing the first module in 2009. Paal K. Ødegaard also holds additional certifications, including Offshore BOSIET from the Megamas Training Company, obtained in December 2014, and Certified Recruiter from DNV Business Assurance, obtained in August 2013.
