Steve Nichols

Steve Nichols has a diverse work experience, with their most recent position being the Chief Information Officer at Youi Insurance since March 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of Head of Digital at AdventureRace.com.au, where they contributed to the growth of adventure-based sports in the region. Steve also served as the Chief Information Officer and Chief Digital & Technology Officer at Shell Energy Australia. Before joining Shell Energy, they were the General Manager of Digital & Technology at ERM Power. Steve has co-founded and managed Evolve, and has held various managerial positions at NBN Co Limited, Telstra Wholesale, AAPT, Billing Bureau, and Request Broadband.

Steve Nichols completed their education with a Master of Information Systems Management from Swinburne University of Technology in 2011-2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from The University of Queensland in 1995-1998. In addition to their degrees, Steve also holds certifications such as GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and ICAgile Certified Professional - Business Value Analysis from ICAgile. Steve also has a Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance.
