Bishnu Kumar

Bishnu Kumar has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Bishnu started their career as a Project Engineer at Wipro Technologies, where they developed UI for Toshiba DMN Set Top Box and worked on the porting of Mobile Tracker 2. Bishnu then worked as a Software Engineer at Aricent Technologies, where they developed a Mobile Share application for AT&T Mobile phones.

Following that, Bishnu joined Samsung Electronics as a Tech Lead, where they were responsible for software development and commercialization of Samsung Galaxy and Samsung BADA/SHP devices in various regions. Bishnu also worked on Bluetooth certification and issue resolution for device certification.

Bishnu later joined Amazon as a Senior Program Manager, focusing on the Vendor Return process. Bishnu formulated strategies to reduce costs and cycle times and used data-driven recommendations to drive improvements. Bishnu also worked as a Senior Product Manager, overseeing customer returns and building a roadmap for the business.

After their tenure at Amazon, Bishnu joined MiFi as a Product Management and Market Research intern, working on defining features for the MiFi wireless devices and researching IoT capabilities. Bishnu then served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UC Irvine, where they provided support in Design Management, Innovation, and Competitive Intelligence.

In 2022, Bishnu joined Google as a Product Lead, where they continued to excel in their leadership role. Bishnu then moved to YouTube in 2023, maintaining their position as a Product Lead.

Bishnu Kumar earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Product Management, Strategy, and Consulting from the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business in the years 2013 to 2015. Prior to their MBA, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at the College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar, India from 2003 to 2007. Bishnu received their ISC (Indian School Certificate) from Ispat English Medium School, Rourkela, India, in the years 2001 to 2003. Bishnu Kumar completed their ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) at Saint Paul's School, Rourkela, from 1991 to 2001, with a focus on Maths, Science, English, and Computer Science.
