Daniel Mathieson has held various roles at different companies throughout their career. Daniel started off at Flowerzone International as a Sales Japan Division employee from January 1998 to August 1998. Daniel then moved on to OMRON Group as a Corporate Communications Officer from September 1999 to January 2001. After that, they joined NEC Corporation as a Public Relations Manager from January 2001 to March 2003. Daniel then joined Zespri International, where they held multiple positions including Assistant Operations Manager - Japan from March 2003 to April 2004, Operations Manager - East Asia from March 2004 to March 2006, Market Manager - Korea from March 2006 to April 2008, Regional Market Manager - Southeast Asia/India from April 2008 to April 2011, Vice President Sales & Marketing from April 2011 to May 2013, President Global Sales and Marketing and President Japan from January 2013 to June 2015, President Global Sales and Marketing from June 2015 to November 2017, and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer starting from September 2017 at Zespri International.

Daniel Mathieson's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in General Management from the National University of Singapore, obtained in 2008-2009. Daniel also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Japanese from Auckland University of Technology, earned between 1996 and 1998.
