Benoit Miquel

New Deployments Lead at Zipline

Benoit Miquel has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Benoit currently serves as the New Deployments Lead at Zipline, where they manage the design and deployment of distribution centers globally. Prior to this, they worked as a Project Manager at ARCO/Murray Design Build, handling sales, design, permitting, and construction management for commercial projects. Benoit also held the role of Project Lead at SkyBrella. Benoit has gained research experience through internships at QIC and Stanford University, where they worked as a Research Intern and Teacher Assistant, respectively. Additionally, they have worked as a Math and Civil Engineering Faculty Tutor at McGill Engineering Peer-tutoring services, assisting engineering students with various subjects. Benoit also served as an IT Technician at The Awty International School. Furthermore, they have undertaken research projects as an Undergraduate Researcher at McGill University and the University of Southern California, developing MATLAB graphical interfaces for building data analysis.

Benoit Miquel completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering at McGill University from 2011 to 2015. Benoit then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geomechanics at Stanford University from 2015 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Benoit Miquel obtained several certifications. In July 2019, they completed the OSHA 10HR Construction Safety and Health certification from the OSHA Safety Training Institute. In July 2018, they obtained three certifications from the IDCA - International Data Center Authority, namely the Data Center Engineering Specialist (DCES), the Data Center Infrastructure Expert (DCIE), and the Data Center Infrastructure Specialist (DCIS) certifications.
