Kyle Strohmaier

Kyle Strohmaier has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Kyle currently works at Zipline as the Systems Modeling Lead, where they began in April 2023. Prior to Zipline, Kyle worked at Tesla, starting in September 2021 as a Sr. Staff Systems Design/Architecture Engineer before transitioning to a Staff Systems Design/Architecture Engineer role. Kyle has also held positions as a Sr. Systems Design/Architecture Engineer and Systems Design/Architecture Engineer during their tenure at Tesla.

Before joining Tesla, Kyle worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Mechanical Energy and Power Systems Laboratory from October 2012 to July 2014. Kyle also gained experience as an Energy Engineering Intern at Nexant from May 2011 to December 2011.

In addition, Kyle served as the Mechanical Leader for the Hybrid Vehicle Team at UW-Madison from September 2008 to September 2010. Kyle also worked as a Mechanical Development Co-op at Cummins Inc. from January 2010 to August 2010 and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Engine Research Center at UW-Madison from April 2009 to December 2009.

Kyle Strohmaier received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Kyle then pursued further education and obtained their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, attending from 2012 to 2014.
