John Rabalais

Associate Researcher at Zymo Research

John Rabalais has had a diverse work experience. From 2022 to present, they have worked as an Associate Researcher at Zymo Research Corp. From 2017 to present, they have worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California San Diego, where they published a thesis on stem cell development in mutant EpCAM mice, presented an abstract on the effects of fennel seed extract on inflammatory processes at the Experimental Biology Conference 2018, and published an abstract on Unfolded Protein Response in response to mutant EpCAM. John also worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Intro to Biology Lab course, where they taught students basic biology lab practices and safety, designed lesson plans, quizzes, and study guides, and worked one-on-one with the professor to improve quality of course material and teaching practices. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Sivagnanam Lab at the University of California San Diego.

John Rabalais obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from UC San Diego in 2017, followed by a Master of Science in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the same institution in 2019.
