Role Overview:

Aalyria’s Spacetime team is seeking an experienced machine learning engineer for a hybrid role involving: i) ML research and development, and ii) technical sales and communication. This role will involve applying cutting-edge deep learning algorithms to solve some of Spacetime’s most challenging temporospatial networking and resource management problems. At the same time, the role will involve communicating with several of Aalyria’s current and future customers. The ideal candidate should demonstrate not only technical depth in machine learning and working knowledge of wireless communication and software defined networking, but also the ability to communicate clearly with others at different levels of technical depth and across different functions, as well as the ability to sell a product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and/or develop infrastructure to support state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms for solving critical elements of Spacetime’s network orchestration platform.

• Develop and maintain documentation related to novel algorithms developed by the team.

• Integrate AI technology with other components of the Spacetime platform to ensure end-to-end functionality.

• Interact with potential and existing customers on a regular basis, serving as a technical communication expert for machine learning related technologies developed at Spacetime.

Qualifications:

• Masters or PhD degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or other fields related to machine learning

• 5+ years of work experience, with at least 2 years working in the wireless communication and/or software defined networking space.

• Fluency in Python and at least one deep learning library (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow)

• Strong technical communication skills, and ability to communicate across multiple functions.

• A strong desire to pitch and sell our amazing technology!

Preferred Qualifications:

• Work-related experience with reinforcement learning and/or graph neural networks.

• Prior experience working in technical sales and/or pitching new products.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

• Experience writing tests for both software and machine learning algorithms
