Tim Boldt

Tim Boldt has extensive experience in software engineering and leadership roles. Tim is currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at Aalyria since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Google as a Staff Software Engineer (2018-2023) and was responsible for cloud TPU control plane and embedded control systems for free-space optical communication. Tim also worked at GE Digital as a Principal Software Engineer (2017-2018), focusing on data services and containerization with Kubernetes. Before that, Tim worked at Google as a Software Engineer and Dev Manager (2013-2017). Tim has also held positions at Yahoo! (2011-2013), EMC (2010-2011), i365, A Seagate Company (2004-2010), T4G Inc. (2003-2004), Ranger Online Inc. (2000-2003), and YTV (Corus Entertainment) (1999-2000), where they held various technical and leadership roles.

Tim Boldt obtained an Hon BSc degree in Computer Science from Brock University, where they studied from 1986 to 1991. In addition, they have obtained certifications in "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera in 2018.
