José Simão Jr has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of credit and collection management. José 'smost recent position was as the Director of Global Credit & Collection at Acadian Seaplants, where they collaborated with sales and finance executives to establish credit policies and procedures. Prior to that, they worked at Bayer as the Latam Head of Credit, overseeing and maintaining credit policies and procedures throughout Latin America. José also served as the Credit & Collection Manager KAM & Royalties at Bayer, responsible for credit limit determinations and collection negotiations. Before joining Bayer, José held various positions at Monsanto Company, including Brazil Credit and Collection Manager, where they managed a team and handled credit lines and collections for a significant portfolio. José also gained experience as a Finance Supervisor at Johnson & Johnson, overseeing credit and collection processes for multiple sectors. José began their career at BASF as a Credit Risk and Collection Coordinator, handling credit and collections for different divisions. Early in their career, they worked as a Commercial Trainee at Acher Daniels Midland and as a Financial Analyst at Bunge and Cocamar Cooperativa Agroindustrial.

José Simão Jr has a Master's Degree in Economics with a specialization in Industrial Economics from Universidade de Coimbra, which they completed from 2006 to 2007. José also holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics with a concentration in Financial Economics from Universidade Estadual de Maringá, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. Additionally, they completed a post-graduation program in People Leadership with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership from Fundação Dom Cabral between 2017 and 2018.
