Sami Rodrigue

Sami Rodrigue has had a diverse range of work experience. In 2015, they worked as a Business Intelligence Analyst at BMO Capital Markets, where they aggregated data, validated reports, and conducted ad-hoc analyses. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Research Assistant at Ryerson University, leading the implementation of machine learning models and working as a Teaching Assistant for a data analytics course. From 2018 to 2022, Sami worked at Slalom Build as a Senior Data Engineer and then as a Data Engineer. In these roles, they aided in data migration, led tutorials on big data tools, and utilized orchestration tools for a data ingestion pipeline. In 2022, Sami joined Acerta as an ML/MLOps Engineer.

Sami Rodrigue obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Commerce, General from Queen's University from 2010 to 2014. In 2016, Sami pursued an Open Learning program in Computer Science at Thompson Rivers University. In 2017, Sami enrolled in Ryerson University and completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Science and Analytics in 2018. During that time, Sami also pursued studies in Computer Science at Athabasca University, with no specified end year. Additionally, Sami obtained several certifications including a Data Analyst Nanodegree from Udacity in 2016, a Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect certification from Google in April 2019, and a Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer certification from Google in February 2019.
