Principal Scientist II - Immunology Research at Achillestx

Lúcia Moreira Teixeira, PhD has extensive experience in immunology research and gene therapies. Lúcia is currently working as a Principal Scientist II at Achilles Therapeutics, leading immunology research. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal Scientist at Freeline, focusing on immunology and translational research in gene therapy. Lúcia has also held positions at The Francis Crick Institute as a Visiting Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Scientist, where they led multiple projects focused on immune response regulation and immune cell identification. Before that, Lúcia worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at ICVS, where they independently led research projects on inflammation, infection, and the immune system. Lúcia'searly work includes their role as a PhD student at CNRS UMR 8147 - Necker Hospital, where they focused on immunoregulation mechanisms and immunotherapy strategies. Lúcia also has experience as a trainee pharmacist at Farmácia Sameiro and as a trainee scientist at CNRS UMR 8147 - Necker Hospital and the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto.

Lúcia Moreira Teixeira, PhD, obtained their Licentiate degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade do Porto in 2007. Lúcia then pursued their PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the same institution from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained various certifications on topics such as project management, time management, coaching, and employee development from LinkedIn.
