Thorsten Klein

Thorsten Klein has a diverse work experience with various roles in the software development and operations field.

From 2015 to 2017, they worked as an IT-Support and then transitioned to a role as a Bachelor student at trivago from 2017 to 2018. At trivago, they gained experience in DevOps engineering, focusing on container and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.

In 2020, Thorsten started working as a freelancer, offering software development and operations services under their own company, Thorsten Klein Software Development & Operations. Thorsten also contributed to open-source projects at Rancher Labs, specifically working on #k3d and #k3s to bring Kubernetes everywhere.

In 2021, Thorsten took on a role as a Technical Consultant at Stadtmarketing- und Wirtschaftsförderungsgesellschaft Dormagen mbH. Here, they provided technical expertise and guidance.

In 2022, Thorsten joined Global DMS GmbH as a Software Tech Lead, where they led software development projects. Later in the same year, they transitioned to Acorn Labs, where they currently hold the position of Staff Software Engineer.

Thorsten Klein obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from the University of Düsseldorf from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they studied Chemische Biologie at TU Dortmund University from 2013 to 2014. Thorsten completed their Allgemeine Hochschulreife, equivalent to a high school diploma, with a focus on Mathematik & Chemie at Leibniz-Gymnasium Dormagen from 2005 to 2013.
