Shannon Napier

Shannon Napier has extensive experience in the field of immigration law. Shannon began their career as a Legal Secretary/Assistant at Miller Johnson in 2002. Shannon then worked as an Associate Immigration Attorney at Larrabee| Mehlman| Albi| Coker, LLP, where they also served as a Senior Paralegal, specializing in PERM applications for permanent employment certification. In 2006, they joined Malitzlaw, Inc. as an Associate Immigration Attorney, focusing on securing nonimmigrant and immigrant benefits for foreign national workers. From 2012 to 2014, Shannon worked at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy as an Associate, handling a variety of employment-based immigration matters. Shannon co-founded Mehlman Barnes LLP in 2014 and served as a Partner, representing employers in employment-based immigration cases. Shannon joined Tesla in 2018 as a Senior Counsel, progressing to Managing Counsel, Global Immigration and later Managing Counsel, Immigration and Mobility. Shannon then served as the Deputy General Counsel & Director of various departments within Tesla, including Immigration, HR Compliance, and Talent Mobility. Currently, Shannon works at AESC as the Corporate Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Labor & Employment.

Shannon Napier earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a focus on Practical Writing, from Western Michigan University in 2005. In 2009, Shannon completed a Juris Doctor (JD) degree at Thomas Jefferson School of Law. In 2014, Shannon also obtained certification in Sculpt Fusion Yoga Teacher Training at the 200 Hour Level from Yoga Alliance.
