Amelia Chen

Senior Food Scientist at Air Protein

Amelia Chen has been working in the food industry since 2011. Amelia began their career as an Independent Study Student in the Department of Biology at Duke University. Amelia then worked as an Undergraduate Researcher and an Independent Study Student in the Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology at Duke University. In 2013, they were an IFT Summer Scholar at the Plants for Human Health Institute. In 2014, they became a Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2016, they began working as a Food Scientist at Geltor Inc. and in 2021, they were promoted to Senior Food Scientist and Food Innovation Scientist at Air Protein.

Amelia Chen earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, General from Duke University from 2010 to 2014. Amelia then studied abroad at the University of Melbourne in 2012. In 2013, they attended North Carolina State University for a semester in the field of Food Science. Amelia then went on to earn their Master's Degree in Food Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2014 to 2016.
