Loukas Paraschis

Loukas Paraschis has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Loukas is currently serving as the Vice President of Business Development at Alphawave Semi since January 2023. Before this, they were involved in the Optical Fiber Communication conference as part of IEEE Communications Society, starting from December 2020.

Prior to their current position, Loukas worked at Banias Labs USA, which is now part of Alphawave. Loukas held positions of Chief Business Officer from June 2022 to December 2022, and Vice President of Product Marketing and Business Development from December 2021 to May 2022.

Before joining Alphawave, Loukas had a significant tenure at Infinera. Loukas served as the Senior/Managing Director of Internet and cloud providers network architecture and technology from January 2020 to August 2021. Previously, they were the Senior Director of System Engineering for Internet Cloud and Content Providers from an unspecified start date in 2016 to December 2019.

Loukas also has experience working at Cisco, where they held various roles starting from the year 2000. Loukas was a Senior Technology Solution Architect in Global Service Provider Sales from 2011 to 2015, a Senior Business Development Manager in Emerging Markets Sales from 2006 to 2011, a Technical Leader in Optical and Routing Business Units from 2004 to 2006, and a Product Manager in Routing and Optical Business Units from 2000 to 2004.

Loukas Paraschis received their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon in the years 1987 to 1991. Loukas then pursued their Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Communication Systems and Networks from Stanford University during 1997 to 1998. Following that, they conducted their Ph.D. in Applied Physics (Optics) from Stanford University from 1994 to 1999.
