Jennifer Cook

Jennifer brings nearly 30 years of biotech experience in executive leadership and a range of operating roles. Previously, she was the CEO at GRAIL, an early cancer detection diagnostic company. Prior to GRAIL, Jennifer was at Roche Pharmaceuticals/Genentech where she held a number of senior management positions, covering the full lifecycle of product development and commercialization. From 2013 to 2016, she was Head of Region Europe for Roche where she was responsible for the commercial success of Europe and leading more that 5,500 employees across 28 countries. Other key positions during her 25-year tenure at Roche/Genentech included leading Global Clinical Operations, US and Global Portfolio Management, a US Commercial Business Unit, and Market Development.

Jennifer started her career in research and early development at Genentech and a venture-backed startup company. In 2016, she was recognized for her contributions to the healthcare industry and inspirational leadership when she was named Woman of the Year by Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. Jennifer holds a BA in Human Biology and an MS in Biology from Stanford University, as well as an MBA from Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley.
