Isabel Ribeiro

Senior Associate Scientist at Amyris

Isabel Ribeiro has worked in various scientific roles since 2009. Isabel began their career as a Junior Specialist at UCSF in 2009 and was promoted to Assistant Specialist in 2011. In 2014, they joined Amyris Inc. as an Associate Scientist 2 and was responsible for developing and operating Whole Genome Sequencing methods using Illumina MiSeq and NextSeq. Isabel was then promoted to Associate Scientist 3 and was responsible for developing and operating high throughput metabolomics assays for liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. In 2018, they were promoted to Senior Associate Scientist, where they were responsible for developing and operating high throughput metabolomics assays for liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry using QqQ (triple quadrupole) and Q-TOF (quadrupole time of flight) mass spectrometry. Isabel also had operations experience with LC-QExactive.

Isabel Ribeiro completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Brasilia, Brazil from 2003 to 2008. Isabel also attended Universidade de Brasília, but did not complete a degree.
