Roderick Gedey

Roderick Gedey has extensive work experience in the field of medical writing and publications. Roderick started their career as an Account Manager/Medical Writer at Prescott Medical Communications Group in 2004 and worked there until 2013. In 2013, they joined AbbVie as a Publications Manager and then became a Senior Publications Manager from 2016 to 2019. Since 2019, Roderick has been working at Arena Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Roderick initially served as an Associate Director of Medical Writing and Publications and is currently working as the Associate Director of Global Medical Affairs. Roderick also has academic experience, having served as a Graduate Research Assistant and a Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2002 to 2004.

Roderick Gedey has a strong educational background in the field of Microbiology. Roderick earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2002. Roderick further pursued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Microbiology from 2002 to 2004. In 2007 to 2009, Roderick attended the University of Chicago - Graham School of General Studies and completed a Certificate program in Medical Writing and Editing. Additionally, they obtained the certification of "Editor in the Life Sciences" from the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences in 2009.
