Rebecca (Becky) Lock, PhD has over 15 years of work experience in the biomedical sciences field. Rebecca (Becky) began their career in 2005 as a Biomedical Sciences Graduate Student at UCSF, where they worked under the advisement of Jayanta Debnath, MD. Her thesis work focused on understanding a role for autophagy in mediating Ras-induced transformation. In 2012, they joined Brigham and Women's Hospital as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, working with Karen Cichowski, PhD. Her projects focused on developing therapeutic combinations with MEK inhibitors in pancreatic cancer and NF1 deficient malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors (MPNSTs). In 2019, they joined Arrakis Therapeutics as a Scientist, and has since been promoted to Scientist II and Senior Scientist.

Rebecca (Becky) Lock obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the University of California, San Francisco in 2011. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry/Biophysics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2005.
