Panagiotis Kourtesis

Panagiotis Kourtesis, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Early Global Development Scientist in Oncology R&D at AstraZeneca since October 2018. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Director and Senior Manager in Early Clinical Development at AbbVie, as well as positions at Teva/Actavis Generics, ALAPIS, ICON Clinical Research, and Regulon, Inc., where expertise in clinical research and bioinformatics was developed. Panagiotis earned a PhD in Chemistry from American University and has completed post-doctoral research at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute. Educational background also includes a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from William & Mary, along with a high school diploma from Hellenic American Educational Foundation Athens College.
