Zawad Islam

Zawad Islam has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. In 2016, they worked as a Data Science Intern at the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). From 2018 to 2019, they served as a Research Assistant at the Florida Institute of Technology, focusing on high power laser ablation and additive manufacturing. In 2018, Zawad also worked as an Engineering Intern at Drobots Company, where they specialized in Drone and Robotics education.

In 2020, Zawad joined NASA as an RMA Engineer, providing analysis and verification of components for the Space Launch System. Zawad then moved on to Leonardo DRS in 2021, working as a Mechanical Engineer.

In 2022, Zawad worked at Bowery Farming as an Engineer before joining Astrobotic as a Software Integration and Test Engineer later in the same year.

Zawad Islam started their education at Lake Braddock Secondary School, where they pursued an Advanced Degree from 2013 to 2017. Zawad then enrolled at the Florida Institute of Technology from 2017 to 2021, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, during the same period at Florida Institute of Technology, Zawad also completed a Minor in Computational Mathematics.
