Gaurav Sharma Ph.D.

Gaurav Sharma Ph.D. has a diverse work experience. In 2011, they were a Lecturer at SMGI, teaching Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Pharmaceutics, as well as labs in Biochemistry, Pharmaceutics, Hospital, and Clinical Pharmacy. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Research Assistant at Idaho State University, where they worked on selective electrochemical detection of deuterium in aqueous solutions by oxidation at a palladium electrode, and a RP-HPLC method for the detection of fluoxetine, carbamazepine and venlafaxine in various water systems. From 2014 to 2019, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Miami, where they used MD and molecular docking techniques to study the dynamical behavior of proteins, DNA, and lipids, and performed QM and QM/MM simulations to study the reaction mechanism of protein and DNA, as well as QM calculations to study the reaction mechanism of metalloenzymes. Finally, from 2019 to 2022, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at Michigan State University, working in Prof. Kenneth M. Merz lab.

Gaurav Sharma Ph.D. has a comprehensive educational history. From 2007 to 2011, they obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from PSIT Kanpur (Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology). From 2012 to 2014, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Analytical Chemistry from Idaho State University. From 2014 to 2019, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computational Chemistry from the University of Miami.
