Karynn Ikeda

Karynn Ikeda is a software engineer at Babylist. Karynn previously worked as a technical support engineer at PagerDuty, where they diagnosed bugs and wrote Javascript patches for ServiceNow integration used by top 30 enterprise customers. Karynn also developed features for an internal Python tool to migrate data for customers. Karynn collaborated with engineering to develop a script to mass resolve 2.5M incidents on a customer account. Karynn also authored public OAuth documentation and internal troubleshooting guide.

Before their work at PagerDuty, Karynn was a teaching assistant at Hackbright Academy, where they led lectures in programming concepts and reviewed students’ code during lab exercises.

Karynn started their career as an event & media coordinator intern at SF New Tech, where they designed and deployed an event management system integrating with Streak, Eventbrite, Meetup, & Universe APIs. Karynn also organized 3 conferences with $100K budgets and managed team of vendors, contractors, and volunteers. Karynn grew community of startup founders and entrepreneurs 3x through local events and online outreach.

Karynn Ikeda attended Hackbright Academy, where they studied software engineering. Karynn then went on to study modern culture and media at Brown University, where they earned their BA.

They work with Jamie Alessio - Engineering Manager, Katie Pennachio - Software Engineer, and Alan Campos - Software Engineer. Karynn Ikeda reports to TJ Moretto, VP of Engineering.
