W. Jacob Harris

W. Jacob Harris has over 15 years of experience in the software engineering field. From 2006 to 2014, they worked at Charter Software, Inc. as the Director of Software Development, where they collaborated with other management personnel to increase the value that technology could bring to the organization, reviewed competitor's products to develop and implement a strategic advantage within the marketplace, and provided continual architectural and development oversight for the organization's "flagship" and legacy products updated to current technology where appropriate. From 2014 to 2018, they worked at Cherwell Software, first as a Development Manager, then as a Senior Enterprise Software Engineer, and finally as the Director of Software Engineering. During this time, they performed general management functions, developed and managed short and long-term Engineering strategy and planning, leveraged teams to accelerate sales and implementation through technical enablement, facilitated scaling engineering as needed, and worked in collaboration with product management to define and implement product innovations. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at Exponential Impact (XI) as an Advisor. Currently, they are employed at Barn Owl Tech, Inc. as the Chief Product Officer.

W. Jacob Harris holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics from the University of South Alabama. W. Jacob also obtained a SAFe 4.0 Advanced Scrum Master certification from SAFe in October 2016.
