Jeff Baer

Jeff Baer has a wide range of experience in finance and accounting roles. Jeff began their career as Corporate Controller at A. P. Green Industries, Inc. in 1988, where they stayed for 10 years. Jeff then worked as Corporate Controller at Magnequench, Inc. for six years, where they oversaw financial and tax reporting, general and cost accounting, and managed international acquisitions. Jeff joined Klipsch Group, Inc. in 2005 as Vice President of Finance/Accounting and worked there until 2008. After that, they became Corporate Controller at Aptean/Consona Corporation for five years. Jeff then transitioned into consulting roles, first at Resources Global Professionals in 2013 and then at Warbird Consulting Partners, LLC in 2014, where they served as an Interim Director of Finance and Operations. In 2014-2015, they worked as a Consultant at Resources Global Professionals, providing staffing and advisory services for a large electric utility company. Finally, they joined Better World Books in 2015 as Vice President of Finance, overseeing worldwide financial and accounting operations.

Jeff Baer attended the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1975 to 1979, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accountancy. In addition, they hold certifications as a Certified Global Management Accountant from the AICPA and as a Certified Public Accountant from the Illinois CPA Society.
