Role Overview: 

Avenue Z is looking for a highly proficient and detail-oriented Content Developer to join our team, focusing on creating content across different digital services/channels that entice users to take action online. This role demands expertise in both manual copywriting and utilization of AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude to ideate, generate and edit content. 

The Content Developer is responsible for having a deep understanding our accounts’ target personas, what language they need to see in order to engage with that brand online and translating that into different formats.

Each piece of content created needs to focus on driving targeted traffic, engaging audiences or converting leads/sales at different stages of their buyer’s journey, depending on the goal of the deliverable.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Engaging Content: Utilizing AP Style and a combination of personal creativity, AI idea generation, and copywriting abilities, create messaging that is consistent, high quality and effectively tailored for the service/channel it’s designed for. Content needs to be enticing for users to want to engage with at many different levels of the buyer’s journey. Service/channels include (but are not limited to):
    • SEO
    • Organic Social
    • Email/SMS
    • Content Marketing
    • Lead Generation (CRO / ABM)
    • Paid Media
    • UGC
    • Websites
    • TV / Radio / OTT
    • Print Collateral
    • Out of Home (OOH)
  • Interpret Client Briefs: Using critical thinking skills, review and interpret content briefs outlined per service/channel to gather details and criteria needed to create content that drives action/results.
  • Review for Quality Assurance: Using tools like Grammarly, AP Stylebook Online, AI and manual proofing skills, review and provide constructive feedback on other team members’ work to ensure consistency in each brand’s tone and overall messaging.
  • Stay on Top of Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of the latest content trends and tools, implementing innovative approaches to improve performance, reduce turnaround time and enhance quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Advertising/Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in content development, with a heavy focus on digital channels like SEO, social media and email marketing.
  • Deep understanding of effective storytelling and content formatting as it pertains to different digital marketing channels
  • Ability to effectively interpret and understand the goals of a content deliverable as it pertains to an overall marketing strategy.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, capable of interpreting content effectiveness based on the target audience, type of deliverable and method of distribution.
  • Excellent communication skills, adept at engaging effectively with team members and occasionally clients, as needed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and coordinate across projects.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills, with an emphasis on detail.
  • Adaptability and capacity to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced agency setting.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in content marketing and online consumer behavior.

Compensation

  • Job Type: Full-time Employee
  • Annual Salary: $50,000 - $60,000/year
