Joseph Cao

Joseph Cao is a Senior Scientist currently at Bionova Scientific since December 2020, where responsibilities include organizing the formulations group for biologics preformulation studies, managing interns, training colleagues in protein purification, and introducing innovative techniques such as DOE and mass spectrometry for formulation development. Prior experience includes serving as a Scientist II at BioVision, focused on the purification and characterization of recombinant human proteins. Joseph's academic background features extensive teaching roles at UCLA, instructing undergraduates in protein biochemistry and developing laboratory courses, alongside research as a Graduate Student investigating the role of SUMO modification in RAS/MAPK signaling. Joseph holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from UCLA, completing this degree in 2015, and a BS in the same field from the same institution in 2005.
