David Thomas

David Thomas, CFA has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. David began their career as a Scientist at Amgen from 1998 to 2002. David then worked as a Scientist at Novartis and Millennium from 2002 to 2005, focusing on drug targets for Diabetes/Obesity. Following this, they joined the J. Craig Venter Institute as a Scientist from 2005 to 2008, where they published research on creating bacterial strains from engineered genomes. Currently, David holds the position of SVP, Industry Research at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization since 2008, producing publications on various topics including clinical trials, venture funding, and capital markets trends.

David Thomas, CFA has a Master of Science (MS) in Biochemistry from Washington State University. David also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute.
