Roland Graefe

Roland Graefe has extensive work experience in the field of cardiovascular engineering. Roland began their career as a Research Associate at the Department of Cardiovascular Engineering at Helmholtz Institute - RWTH Aachen University in 2009 and worked there until 2014. In 2014, they joined ReinVAD GmbH as a Project Manager in R&D, and later took on the roles of Chief Scientific Officer and Product Manager for the ReinVAD LVAD. Roland was with ReinVAD GmbH until 2021. Currently, Roland is the Director of Engineering at BiVACOR Inc, where they began working in October 2021.

Roland Graefe completed their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University from 2002 to 2009. Additionally, they spent a year from 2006 to 2007 at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) studying Mechanical Engineering.
