Rakesh Verma

Rakesh Verma is the current Head of Product & Engineering at Black Spectacles. Prior to this, they served as the VP of Software Engineering at Trilogy from May 2019 to April 2021. In this role, Rakesh was responsible for driving fast-paced software releases for a product portfolio using a broad technology spectrum. Rakesh also worked with business teams to align the release roadmap with the product vision and market demands. Some of their key accomplishments during their time at Trilogy include establishing world-class lean standards to deliver high-quality products utilizing dispersed, global teams; leading the integration effort for products acquired through M&A to roll-up in Trilogy's centralized engineering infrastructure and processes - CICD, test planning, architecture, and release management standards; and coaching, mentoring and growing high performing teams.

Before joining Trilogy, Rakesh served as the Director of Engineering at CentralSquare Technologies from January 2016 to June 2019. In this role, they were responsible for leading a team of engineers in designing, developing and delivering software solutions for the company's products. Rakesh also played a key role in developing and executing the engineering strategy for CentralSquare Technologies.

Prior to their role as Director of Engineering, Rakesh served as Sr. Program Manager at CentralSquare Technologies from November 2012 to December 2015. In this role, they were responsible for managing large-scale software development projects from initiation to delivery. Rakesh also oversaw the execution of programs and projects while ensuring adherence to quality standards

Rakesh Verma has a Master of Business Administration from the USC Marshall School of Business and a B.Tech in Computer Science from the National Institute of Information Technology. Rakesh is certified by Amazon Web Services in Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner, Scrum Alliance in Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and PMI San Diego Chapter in Project Management Professional (PMP).
