Sapna Satagopan has a long and varied career in product and brand strategy. Sapna began their career in 2000 as a Systems & Technology Consultant at Pricewaterhousecoopers Ltd, India, where they were part of the team to develop the first private airline reservation system in India and the first global satellite radio system to India. In 2004, they joined JupiterResearch as an Analyst where they published over 40 industry reports on the search industry. In 2007, they moved to Avenue A | Razorfish as a Strategist, managing projects across the entire life-cycle from prospecting discussions, proposal development, and the design, execution, and delivery of the projects. In 2009, they became a Marketing Consultant, working for a diverse set of companies delivering brand strategy, insights, and analysis. In 2012, they joined Greenberg Brand Strategy as a Senior Strategist, capturing and bringing research to life that informed and inspired digital solutions for technology clients. In 2014, they co-founded The FogLight + Co. as a Co-founder/ Brand Maven. In 2016, they co-founded xyza: news for kids, building a hybrid news platform for tweens and teens, with subscribing users across 40 states in the United States and key international locations. Sapna also joined Friends of the San Francisco Public Library as a Member Board of Directors. In 2020, they became the Product Director at CalMatters.

Sapna Satagopan began their educational journey in 1996, when they earned their B.S in Physics from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Sapna then continued their studies at San Jose State University, where they obtained their B.A in Linguistics in 2004. In 2006, Sapna began their MBA in Marketing at the University of California, Davis Graduate School of Management, which they completed in 2009. In December 2020, Sapna obtained their Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance.
