Kelsi West, PhD, MPH has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. In 2012, they worked as an Administrative Assistant at Salisbury University. In 2013, they worked as a Program Specialist for Big Brothers Big Sisters and as Virus Surveillance for the Delaware Division of Fish and Wildlife. From 2014-2015, they were a Graduate Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at East Tennessee State University. In 2016, they were a Doctoral Researcher at Texas A&M Health Science Center, and in 2017 they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Texas A&M University. Most recently, in 2020, they have been a Bioinformatics Scientist at Catalytic Data Science.

Kelsi West, PhD, MPH completed their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Genetics at Texas A&M University from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained their Master's Degree in Epidemiology from East Tennessee State University from 2014 to 2016. Kelsi also obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Health Education, Biology, and Chemistry from Salisbury University from 2011 to 2013. Before that, they obtained their General Studies in Dietetics/Dietitian from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore from 2010 to 2011. In addition, Kelsi West, PhD, MPH obtained their Certified Health Education Specialist from the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc in May 2013.
