Michael Potter, PhD, currently serves as the Industry and Innovation Manager in the Technology and Business Development Office at the Centre for Genomic Regulation in Spain, focusing on enhancing research in various biological science programs. Previously, Michael worked as an Innovation Preaward Manager at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health, supporting the innovation lifecycle and identifying funding opportunities for early-stage projects. Michael completed a PhD in Chemical Biology at Imperial College London, where research was centered on developing nanomaterials for bacterial detection and treatment. Additional experience includes a fellowship at the UK Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology, where a briefing on brain-computer interfaces was prepared, and participation in an organic chemistry summer school at the University of Southampton. Michael holds two Master's degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from Imperial College London and Nanyang Technological University Singapore, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Southampton.
