Carlos Alexander has extensive work experience in the retail industry. Carlos began their career at GUESS?, Inc. as a Buyer and then worked at Gap as a Merchant - International. Carlos then joined Abercrombie & Fitch Co. as a Senior Merchant. Carlos later worked at BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP in various roles, including Sr. Director - International Buying and MP&A Europe/ Asia & North America, and Senior Merchant/ Merchandise Manager - International Europe/ Asia & North America. Carlos then moved to Forever New Clothing as a General Manager, where they successfully launched the brand internationally. Carlos then joined BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP again as VP - International Buying, Merchandising, MP&A, where they managed a portfolio of $380M across 7 countries. Carlos later worked at VIP.com in the role of General Merchandise Manager, leading Omni Channel direct buying, product development, and business development for VIPSHOP North America. Most recently, Carlos joined GoDigital Media Group as a Senior Vice President General Merchandise Manager. Carlos is currently working at Centric Brands as the Head of Merchandising, where they direct annual and seasonal merchandise strategies for Hudson Jeans.

Carlos Alexander has a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Southern California, which they obtained from 2017 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Master's in Corporate Communications (MCM) from the same university from 2015 to 2016. Earlier in their education, Carlos earned an MBA in Finance from Woodbury University from 1998 to 2000. Carlos also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Woodbury University, which they received in 2000. In addition, Carlos has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance from UCLA, obtained from 1996 to 1998. Carlos began their higher education journey with an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Fashion/Apparel Design from Brooks College, completed from 1994 to 1996. Carlos has also obtained additional certification in Social-Behavioral Human Subjects from CITI Program in September 2023.
