Ken Rona

Chief Data Scientist at Chalice

Think of Ken like Grandmaster Flash - the mad musical scientist whose tinkering and tech savvy paved the way for developments that the industry still relies on today.

After dropping out of college to work as a sound engineer for artists like Run DMC, Public Enemy, MC Hammer, and NWA, Ken eventually left the tour busses behind and went back to school, earning a Masters and then a Ph.D in Behavioral Economics from Duke University. An industry innovator who understands the inner workings of digital advertising, Ken pioneered the use of third party data in digital advertising at [x+1] and spearheaded linear TV optimization for Turner Broadcasting. He later served as Chief Data Scientist at IgnitionOne, developing the company’s data analytics infrastructure, and went on to launch and manage the data and analytics practice at Syzygy Solutions.

Ken lives in Atlanta with his wife and two kids, where pastimes like woodworking, baking, and cooking offer respite from countless lines of code.
