Glenda Brighouse

Glenda Brighouse has extensive work experience in the field of communications, engagement, and strategic relationships. Glenda is currently working as a Strategic Relationships Principal Engagement Water Infrastructure Lead at the Department of Internal Affairs in New Zealand, where they are responsible for leading national strategic infrastructure relationship and engagement plans for Water Services Reform. Prior to this, Glenda worked as a Client Engagement Manager/Communications & Engagement Consultant Principal at AECOM, where they managed national and multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects. Glenda also has experience as a Communications & Design Manager at Wise Management Services, where they supported health sector organizations in communications and engagement. Glenda has held various roles in communications and engagement at Shine PR, NZ Transport Agency, Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency, Ministry of Social Development (MSD), Scion, Waiariki Institute of Technology, and Edith Cowan University throughout their career. Their responsibilities included strategic communications planning, stakeholder engagement, media management, and leadership in various organizations and projects.

Glenda Brighouse obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and Media Studies from Auckland University of Technology in the years 1994 to 1996. In 2012, they earned a certification in Public Relations Management (APR) from PRINZ. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Situational Safety Training, Engagement Methods, Engagement Design, IC Certified Agile Fundamentals Professional Course, Leading High Performance Teams, Coaching Habit, Certificate in Engagement, Certificate of Practice - RIVER CPD, and Social Media Principles and how to develop an effective social media brief - e-course.
