John Dittmer has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. John currently works as Cyber Security Analyst 6 at Cintel, Inc. John has also held various roles in different organizations. John Dittmer has a comprehensive education history that spans several institutions and fields of study. John began their educational journey at the United States Naval Academy in 1983 but left after one year. John then attended Marion Military Institute from 1982 to 1983, where they pursued college preparation courses.

Following that, John enrolled at Marquette University from 1984 to 1987, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science & History. In 1984, they briefly attended the University of Rhode Island for general studies but did not complete a degree.

John's academic pursuits continued at the Naval War College from 1992 to 1997, where they earned a Diploma in Command & Staff. Later on, they attended Webster University from 1994 to 1997 and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Information Resources Management.

In addition to their formal education, John has also obtained several certifications to enhance their expertise. John received the PMP certification from PMI in September 2014. Throughout 2014 and 2015, they obtained various certifications from GIAC, including the Critical Controls Certification (GCCC) in September 2014, Security Leadership (GSLC) in May 2015, and Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED) in August 2015. In April 2007, they obtained the Information Systems Security Management Professional (CISSP-ISSMP) certification from (ISC)². Lastly, in November 2016, John obtained the GIAC Law of Data Security & Investigations (GLEG) certification from the GIAC institution.
