Lesley Richards

Lesley Richards has extensive experience in the HR field, starting their career as a Teacher with Xiamen Educational Bureau in 1987. Lesley then worked as a Trade Missions Administrator at Cardiff Chamber of Commerce from 1988 to 1990, followed by a role as an HR Officer at Geldards LLP from 1990 to 1993. Lesley then joined Price Waterhouse Coopers as a Staff Administrator from 1993 to 1995, before becoming an HR Manager at Wansbroughs Willey Hargrave from 1995 to 1997. Lesley then worked as an HR Manager at Leo Abse & Cohen from 1997 to 2002. Lesley went on to establish their own HR consultancy firm, LRHR Services Ltd, in 2002, where they worked as an HR Consultant. In 2006, they joined Freshwater as the Group HR Director, a position they held until 2014. Since 2015, Lesley has been serving as the Head of CIPD in Wales.

From 1976 to 1983, Lesley attended the International School of Geneva, where they obtained their International Baccalaureate.

Lesley then enrolled at University College Cardiff from 1983 to 1987, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and French.

In 1991, Lesley started studying at the University of South Wales, where they completed their Master of Science degree in HR Management in 1994.

In 2014, Lesley pursued further education at Central Law Training, obtaining a CLT Specialist Paralegal Qualification, specifically in Employment Law, in 2015.
