Tarik R.

Tarik R. serves as Deputy City Manager for the City of Carson, California, since 2019, where notable accomplishments include leading initiatives to enhance digital connectivity, develop a drone policy, and promote community programs. As Finance Director, Tarik contributed to improving the city's bond rating to "AA" and securing $47.3 million in savings. Additionally, Tarik founded and leads GovaTure, which focuses on public sector innovation through technology and sustainability. Prior leadership roles include serving as President of the Fiscal Department for the League of California Cities, and holding various finance and operations management positions in cities such as Bellevue and Seattle. Tarik holds a Master's degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from New Mexico State University and an Ingénieur degree from Ecole supérieure de l'agriculture de Mograne.
