Angela Calvin Self

Angela Calvin Self, FAICP, serves as the Planning Administrator for the City of Garland since November 2006, overseeing comprehensive planning initiatives. Prior to this role, Angela Calvin Self held the position of Chief Planner for the City of Dallas from June 1998 to October 2006, where responsibilities included urban planning and senior planning tasks. Angela Calvin Self earned a B.A. in Urban Studies from Jackson State University and an M.A. in Urban and Regional Planning with a focus on Housing and Community Development from the University of Iowa, where also served as a Graduate Fellow.
